Pricing

What does it cost?

Close protection is quoted per officer per day, varying with the threat level, team size, hours and whether secure transport is required. A single discreet CPO for an event is the most common booking; higher-risk principals may need a small team.

What affects the price

  • Assessed threat / risk level
  • Team size and hours (day rates apply)
  • Secure transport and route planning
  • Female CPO or specialist requirements

Close Protection & Bodyguard Hire — FAQs

What is close protection?

Close protection is the professional protection of an individual (the “principal”) from risks to their safety. A Close Protection Officer plans around the person — venue, arrival, departure and threats — and provides discreet cover. Our close protection explained guide goes deeper.

Is close protection the same as a bodyguard?

They overlap. “Bodyguard” is the everyday term; “close protection officer” is the licensed, planning-led professional discipline. In the UK, anyone providing close protection for hire must hold an SIA Close Protection licence.

Can you provide a female close protection officer?

Yes. We can provide female CPOs and mixed teams, which is often preferable for certain principals, family events and discreet cover.
